The City of Loveland is embarking upon a new benchmarking endeavor driven by the State of Colorado's Energy Office (CEO).  Information now available to our customers will enable savings on expenses for owners of large buildings.  The building benchmarking program drives utility costs down by improving energy efficiency.

We'll help you add up your building's energy score by providing you the data you need to explore money and energy savings.  In the coming months, we will help you comply with the CEO's Building Performance Colorado requirements, show you how to save money by making simple changes in your building and how to plan for upgrades that will be beneficial for your business and the Colorado environment.

What is Building Performance Colorado (BPC)?
Background for BPC
The Importance of BPC

Nationwide, businesses that benchmark see an average savings of 2.4% on their annual energy costs.  Getting started is easy.

How Do I Get Started?

First, you will need to verify that the square footage of your building is greater than 50,000 square feet.  If it is, you will be required to submit the information to the state.  In order to do this, you will need the state identification number for your building.

On the state identification number website, you simply need to enter your building address and search for the number of your building, it will begin with "C".  You will need this number in order to submit a request to the city for the energy usage information for your building.
