The GreenSwitch program
As of April 30th, 2024, the GreenSwtich renewable energy purchase program will discontinue. Any active customers will have the premium removed for kWh blocks associated with their account. The decision to end the program was made thoughtfully and with the best interests of our customers in mind.
With GreenSwitch, customers have had the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the renewable transition. We're happy to share our regular operations now fully support our local and regional transition to a noncarbon energy portfolio. Together with our regional utility partners and Platte River Power Authority, our wholesale electric provider, we are actively working toward a noncarbon energy goal, which exceeds the state's goal of 80% carbon reduction based off 2005 levels by 2030. You can find more information about Platte River and our noncarbon goal at prpa.org/future.
We'd like to highlight that programs and rebates related to all-electric homes, electric vehicles and rooftop solar are available at our renewable energy page. Customer may also sign up for our new renewable energy e-newsletter launching June 2024.
